The cluster approach to the development of the economy: domestic and foreign experience

Clusters are a tool for sustainable development of the regional and national economy, which determines their extensive use in most countries of the world. The approaches to the definition of clusters, their classification and sectoral focus, especially the functioning are analyzed in this article. The main elements of the state cluster policy in Russia and possible ways of its improvement are identified.
